Sevenoaks District has 11 Scout Troops in 9 Groups spread across the area.

The Scout section offeres a varied programme of activities and encourages young people to start tackling more challenging activities. It also teaches the young people to be able to look after themselves and towards the end of their time in Scouts to start leading other people.

  • St Georges Day Parade and Service

    Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and Explorers from around Sevenoaks gathered on Sunday 29th April to commemorate St. George’s day with their annual parade. This year’s parade was special because 2007 is the centenary of Scouting around the world. Lots of people turned up to watch the event, which started from Sevenoaks leisure centre car park and ended at St. Nicholas’ church where the Scouts attended a short service. One member of the crowd watching the event said: “It’s quite nice to see something traditional.” During the service the section trophies were presented for projects throughout 2006 and also the District trophy for the most improved Group. The Sajo trophy went to the 4th Sevenoaks (St. Johns) Beaver Colony. The Mickey Spearey trophy was awarded to the 17th Sevenoaks (Westerham) Cub Pack.
