Sevenoaks District has 11 Scout Troops in 9 Groups spread across the area.

The Scout section offeres a varied programme of activities and encourages young people to start tackling more challenging activities. It also teaches the young people to be able to look after themselves and towards the end of their time in Scouts to start leading other people.

    Andy King took his scouts to the unveiling of the National memorial Project in Staffordshire. Here is his report and an explanation of the project.  'Hogwarts Troops was privileged to be invited to the unveiling of the newScout memorial. This was held on the 5th June. we had tickets for 2 leaders and 6 Scouts/Explorers. This was a very moving day for myself, thinking of all the Scouting family we have lost over all of the years. the Scouts made the whole leader team very proud, being very smart and being a part of scouting history. I asked the Scouts for a few words that sum up the day, below is what i have received. I really enjoyed the memorial in Staffordshire. I learnt all about the Scouts that sadly died or were tragically killed in the Armed forces. I felt very honoured to be chosen as I had only just joined the Edenbridge group.
